the Green MILE! i thot tt that was a great movie. although rated M18, the executions wasnt as disgusting as i thot it wld be. aft watching the movie, i realised tt we shld not take the lives of others for whatever tt they hav done wrong in the past if they hav repent. though in reality, they must face the music n accept their punishnment.
i think Percy is such an idiot n tt del did not deserve such a horrible treatment frm him. how cld he hav "played" with the execution when its such a serious matter. n he caused him to sufffer intense pain when he did not even deserve it. but percy got his retribution serve him right! haha! though i thot tt he deserved more for all the bad things tt he hav done. lk wantin mr jingles dead, squashing mr jingles when its jux a mouse and it did not even disturb him. smashing del's fingers n mocking at john coffey for being huge. the prison shldn even hv allowed him to take up tis job as it is not a game. where u keep mocking at the inmates "abuse" them.
paul edgecomb is such a good n thoughful prison guard who thinks about his inmates. he knew tt john coffey was innocent n did all he could to prevent him frm sittin on the Old Sparky. he trusted him. i felt a sense of injustice when he was being executed as he was innocent. he was a miracle that was send frm god for he had extrodinary power n he was able to heal one frm all illness. n he tried to save the 2 little girls frm dying but he was not able to. but their parents mistook him for the murder n charged him. it was obvious to paul n the others tt he was not guilty but nothing cld be done to save him frm old sparky. it was such a wrongful dead. the judge did not clarify things properly before sentencing him to death.

will they be able to ans to the society for makin a wrong judgement n cause a life to be loss esp. if it were to be someone who had special powers n the ability to heal ppl? also if they were to admit their mistake what can be done? for an innocent life has already been loss.

erm. THE GREEN MILE is a reli reli nice show!!! alth i tot it was gng to be someting reli gruesome cos it was rated. but i was wrong larh, its very touching.

how can dey make john coffey die?!?!?! he is reli lyk the angel who saves people but died in the end.

how can people say its john who killed the two girls just bcos he ws holding onto dem. did dey even went to check on the case? did dey even ask john was it him. if dey actually investigate on the case, john coffey would not been locked up in jail wating fer death. its so unfair.

in jail,he even volunteered to take care of mr jingle's. he was so affected by Del's death dat even mr jingles could feel it through him.alth paul offered to help him in anyway,he didnt accept it. he would rather die. may be because he was too tired living in this world.
an innocent man just died this way....
percy shld die but he bcame mentally diabled which can be considered worst than being dead. he haf to live forever in dat state.

and he was reli evil to not wet the sponge on Del's execution. make him die a terrible death. alth Del and the other guy[forgot the name] were repentent but they still hafto die.if some1 can feel their repentence ders no use either cos ders no way to measure repentence. i think people shld haf a second chance if he or she is reli sorry for it. as every1 makes mistakes in life.

The Green Mile is a really fantastic show! It's not like some other movies that I watched and forget about it completely after a few weeks. I guess this show is going to stay in my brain for a freaking long time!

Anyway, i really hate it when John Coffey died. I thought someone might came in at the last moment and save him but Old Sparky killed him still. My thought after that was like " I thought God would save a miracle and keep him On Earth, why is he bringing him to Heaven so soon?" It was like an end to the climax of the show when John Coffey had his last breath D:
Most of the audience i bet would be thinking like since John Coffey did not commit any crime then why should he die? I think so too because he's such a nice guy and this miracle should be shared with the people and let them know that a miracle exists in this world. If only the judge could hear him, if only the judge could see the truth himself like John allowed Paul Edgecomb to. Yes, Wild Bill died too, but why did John had to die with him too? I guess the word justice does not exist during those times. To us, living in a society where the word Justice is very 'strong', of course we felt it wasn't fair at all. But if John exists at our time, will he suffer a different fate? Haha, there are so many question marks in my mind.

But oh, let's be positive! :D Going to heaven is just another new chapter of his life. Afterlife is not something to be afraid of but where we learn new things and meet new people, JUST LIKE THE BOOK FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN! (:

But I guess he's my favorite character in this show!
Look at the differences in the picture!

SOME FAVORITE LINES:D

Miracles happen in the most unexpected places.

Paul Edgecomb didn't believe in miracles. Until the day he met one.

This is a story about a miracle where I work... The Green Mile.

Walk a mile you'll never forget.

by the way, happy chinese new year, it's back to sch tmr again D:

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!:D

Okay. I did not enjoy watching this kind of shows at first, but after watching The Green Mile, it really inspire me a lot and make me have another view about jails.
Many will think that The Green Mile, actually known as The Last Mile, is a cruel place. But to me, I don’t really think so. The Green Mile is not only not cruel, but it is where prisoners can really reflect on what they had done wrongly, and use the time left for them to the fullest and stop creating trouble for the officers inside. Once they have repented, it can clearly be seen that their relationship with the officers will be good, depend whether they feel that the officers are good people or not.
Let us take Del for example. He maintains a good relationship between the officers as well as John but not with Percy. The reason is because he knew that he is a mean person and he should not treat him well if he did treat him well. He even care for Mr Jingles, a mouse, and trained it to become a circus mouse. He did what he felt that was right and seriously shown a sense of remorse. In this show it can show that no human will be that wicked unless the person is mad. Before Del was put to death, he even care for the mouse and told the officers to take good care of it. What he really expressed out is something out of love. The expression is shown so clearly that he really loves his mouse and he was reluctant to part with it. But because of his past wrongdoings, he was made to die, he had no choice but before that did he think of making the mouse die with him? No. In fact he wants the mouse to live safely in a place where there is everything and the mouse will carry on living happily. That is the greatest wish he wanted before he die.
Not everything in this world is fair. Now this led to another character of the story, who is John Coffey. John in this story is a gift from heaven. He possessed an ability of healing people. Why is it that he has to be send to jail? It is because people saw him holding on to the two girls whose hair was covered with blood. Why did the people then make it seem as if that it was John who killed the girl? All lies in human nature. We humans like to jump to conclusion when we see something happens. What’s worse is that John Coffey is the only one present with close contact with the girls. It make it seems so real that John Coffey is the one who murdered the girls. Who in the world at that time before the verdict was being made bother to go find out the real murder? No one. They already have in mind that the murderer is definitely John Coffey and no more suspects will occur in their mind. Then why did john coffey not clarify himself from the start? He just plainly say, “I tried to stop, but it was too late.” (something like that) why did he made it sound as if he was the murderer when he is not? It most probably because he was tired, living in this world, when after one is being healed by him, another will just die. Every part of the world there will be people dying because of murder. John healed many people and also punish Percy and Wild Bill out of justice, but was misunderstood by the rest. But time could not turn back. No one saw what actually happen on that day. Maybe the writer just wants it this way. A man who is innocent, who can use his supernatural gift and help others still have to die.
Lastly I will talk about Percy. Should Percy actually die? Judging by all the mean things he had done, using his connections to make himself seems so big. But by comparing what he became later on in the story, I think that he deserve what he had done. To be honest, at the beginning I did want him to die so much! But later by comparing he had already be sent to mental healthcare and will be bed ridden for life, I think he seriously deserve what he should have gotten. Lets compare bedridden for life and suffer for the whole damn life and you can die immediately. Come on la, once you bedridden for your life you can’t do anything and you will want to die but you can’t and had to suffer miserably when no one knows.
That’s all I have to write for now cause I am off to enjoy my last few minutes of new year holiday before it is over. haha:D

question: what are your thoughts & reflections after watching " The Green Mile"?

The green mile first striked me as some place where i would be able to see death executed in a mean & cruel way.
& well yes, i guess it was quite cruel.
especially the 2nd execution where percy wetmore was at the frontline.
he made del die in an extremely horrible manner but was made to pay back later when he became mentally challenged.
However what evoked the feelings in me was the fact that, even though humans err & yet they are willing to repent, no opportunities are given.
As the saying goes, "to err is human" so if we do not do anything wrong, how can we actually be qualified as human?
i thought much on this & a feeling was evoked within me.
this feeling made me go even further & i realised that the human law is unfair, nothing in this world can ever be fair.
its a very cruel society that we are living in & we can only accept this fact.
its simple to do wrong & yet difficult to be given another chance.
so we can only think twice before we do anything or we might not be given another opportunity.
we thus have to treasure what we have & not take it for granted.
